To measure use a flexible tailor's tape to find widest part of hand when held narrow as if sliding on a bangle. Hold fingers touching side by side while pointed straight out (hand flat / knuckles flat in the back) and tuck thumb into palm as far as comfortable toward pinkie. The widest area is usually the bottom of thumb area going around, or lower set of knuckles area going around. Measure tight. Metal contractor tapes are hard to get a tight wrap with so overstate size.
